The aircraft, whose conversion was carried out by Shanghai Technologies Aerospace Company Limited (STARCO), was handed over by CDB Leasing to Sichuan Airlines via operating lease. The official operation of the wide-body cargo aircraft will shore up Sichuan Airlines’ capacity for medium- and long-distance freight transport, help the airline gain an increasingly large market share, and fulfill the strategy of “placing equal emphasis on both passenger and freight transport and reaching out across the globe”.
A330-300P2F is the most sought-after type in the fast-growing market of wide-body medium-range cargo aircraft, whose maximum payload can reach 62 tons, with the longest range of about 6,800 km under full-load conditions. Because of its capacity to hold a hefty volume of light goods, the aircraft is particularly fit for integrators and airlines for express delivery. With the booming of the freight market, especially cross-border e-commerce, the demand for wide-body aircraft is ever-increasing, which will be met by the operation of more A330 P2F aircrafts.
CDB Leasing is among the earliest leasing companies globally to acquire A330P2F aircraft and has wrapped up refitting and delivery of six A330-300 aircraft since the beginning of 2022. Forging ahead, the Company will further give play to its expertise, watch closely market demands, seek closer cooperation with clients, and launch more competitive products and services into the market.
