CDB Leasing has made solid headway in fulfilling social responsibilities. On July 29, the Board of Directors of CDB Leasing established the Social Responsibility and Consumer Rights Protection Committee. This move marks an improvement to the social responsibility and consumer rights protection system in terms of corporate governance structure, cements the building of systems and mechanisms, and highlights the responsibility that a state-owned financial company has to take.
Corporate social responsibility underpins sustainability. Over recent years, CDB Leasing has faithfully observed regulatory requirements and proactively performed its social responsibility. Since getting listed, the Company has released its ESG report on an annual basis to include ESG concepts in corporate development strategies and takes solid steps to embrace green development. Furthermore, it continues to sharpen its strength in the leasing of green-eco ships and energy-efficient aircrafts, and works hard to widen access to green financing to facilitate environmental protection in industrial sectors as well as green transformation in social and economic spheres.
The newly-established Social Responsibility and Consumer Rights Protection Committee under the Board of Directors will ensure CDB Leasing fulfills its social responsibilities and prompt the Company to practice continuously green development characterized by energy conservation, low carbon emissions, environmental protection, and sustainability so as to help the Company regulate ESG and consumer rights protection-related work in a better way and improve the people’s livelihood with diligence.
Regarding products, CDB Leasing prioritizes consumer demand to launch diversified and innovative products. With a focus on the “Che Xiang Rong” product primarily designed for the consumer-side passenger vehicle business, the Company looks to make its services more accessible and works out differentiated financial products and services in the light of local conditions.
Regarding services, CDB Leasing has put in place a dedicated customer service team, opened “CDB Weizu”, an official account for digital leasing business, and kept on improving tier-based handling procedures and efficiency in response to consumer consultation and complaints. On March 15, known as the annual World Consumer Rights Day, CDB Leasing paid visits to its cooperative enterprises, joined hands with different market service entities to hold seminars on financial consumer rights protection, and pooled strength for the protection of legitimate consumer rights.
Regarding publicity campaigns, with a focus on its annual education campaign “Protecting Financial Consumer Rights and Preventing Risks”, CDB takes advantage of such themed campaigns as the Month for Publicity of Protection of Financial Consumer Rights, the National Day for Publicity of Investor Protection, and the Month for Publicity of Guarding Against Illegal Fundraising to conduct learning sessions and discussions. Furthermore, the Company utilizes its official WeChat account and offline ways to increase publicity and takes solid steps to foster the awareness of protecting consumer rights and integrate consumer protection across all procedures related to products and services so as to better satisfy customers and win social recognition.
In response to national calls for green development, CDB Leasing will continue practicing sustainability to make progress in operations and management efficiency, protect consumer rights in a down-to-earth manner, foster a harmonious environment for the protection of financial consumer rights, and strive to build a win-win model of sustainability.
